I fall so hard at times like this
when It seems the night could only exist
to help my demons find their way to my door

in my night scene my sight is pain
and pulsing blood is pouring rain
and I cant escape this haunted metaphor

awakened by my torrent screams
from crimson skies I see in dreams
when I feel myself walking in the fire

for moments I will feel free flight
when poets thought keeps still the night
until I feel the weight of my desire

for hours I will speak my thought
a book the clever demons bought
I regain ownership when I repay

the price is wisdom, peace of mind
something one may never find
and if I did I’m not sure I’d give it away

but is there treasure in a doctrine
or anyway out of the rock I’m locked in
and will I have to suffer for my salvation

suffer long within this abyss
awaiting wisdom’s timely kiss
